I’m Neil Vodden, an amateur photographer from South Wales, UK.
Amongst my many hobbies, I’ve been interested in photography for a long time and have dabbled in the hobby on and off over the years.
My first ‘real’ camera was a Sony Alpha 200 entry-level DSLR (which I still have!) and I’ve owned an assortment of smaller digital cameras over the years.
My interest in it waned a bit and I put it on hold for a long time, but I recently got the bug again after picking up a used Sony a6000 and gradually upgraded through the Sony mirrorless family to an a6700, with a nice selection of lenses covering everything from wide angle and portraiture to telephoto and everything in between.
I’ve really enjoyed getting back out there with the camera and have been learning more about how to get out of auto and really learning what the gear can do, and also learning a lot about editing and processing to get the best out of the shots.
This is purely a hobby and interest, but I decided to set up a simple site to showcase some of my favourite photos that I’ve taken on my journey.
